I am writing this email because there is a picture on your website that I really like. In fact, I like it so much, I want to use it for the cover of my new group on facebook. I want to make a composting facility for my college, and making a group on facebook is just one way in which I want to do this. I would love to promote composting as much as you do, and that is why I am putting a small grassroots project into action.
It is the top left image of the cute little Earth guy saying “Compost!”! I love him soooo much! If you have any questions about what I’m doing feel free to ask me. Is it okay to use the image for my new facebook group?

Dear Dr. Heather,
I am writing this email because there is a picture on your website that I really like. In fact, I like it so much, I want to use it for the cover of my new group on facebook. I want to make a composting facility for my college, and making a group on facebook is just one way in which I want to do this. I would love to promote composting as much as you do, and that is why I am putting a small grassroots project into action.
I did notice, however, that the picture may be subject to copyright, therefore I am not using it. Would I be infringing copyright from using your picture? If so would you consent with my using it? The picture is at http://momgoinggreen.wordpress.com/2009/06/05/greener-future-fridays-composting-101/
It is the top left image of the cute little Earth guy saying “Compost!”! I love him soooo much! If you have any questions about what I’m doing feel free to ask me. Is it okay to use the image for my new facebook group?
Hope to hear from you soon,
Eli Colasante
